About Revathi

A highly qualified sustainability professional with a BSc in Natural Sciences, a Masters in Environmental Law, and another in Organometallic Chemistry, Revathi joined The HSQE Partnership back in 2023 having spent the previous 4 years as the Energy and Sustainability Manager for Highways England.

Results driven and commercially aware with over 20 years’ of energy and sustainability experience, Revathi came to us with a proven track record of driving positive change within a range of complex organisations, successfully supporting business growth, in part thanks to her ability to challenge and improve existing processes and systems.

During her time at Highways England, she led the development of new baselines and targets for their Corporate Carbon KPI metric and Net Zero commitments, as well as working alongside internal stakeholders, the DfT, ORR, and Transport Focus to negotiate the organisation’s Greening Government sustainability targets. Implementing LEAN processes and system efficiencies, she helped to monitor, manage and report energy use and carbon emissions from their road network and buildings estate, delivering £2.1m of efficiency savings in 2020/21 alone.

Key responsibilities

• Working with clients to ensure that key sustainability priorities like carbon, green travel, energy, waste and water waste management are considered and embedded within delivery strategies and construction plans
• Promoting sustainability initiatives throughout organisations, projects and sites
• Supporting estimating teams with the collation of estimates for environmental and sustainability activities
• Working with the ground teams to raise consciousness and promote a culture of environmental awareness
• Implementing environmental strategies at a company and/or project level to ensure objectives and targets are achieved
• Establishing strong and collaborative relationships with all manner of stakeholders, from the client’s delivery team, to statutory bodies, regulators, and local authorities
